Please Note:
If your child attends pre-school for a full academic year, the following information is not relevant to yourself.
If your child leaves the setting after the Autumn Term or the Spring Term , there may be a need for you to pay for some sessions your child has attended.
The reason for this is the timing of when Warwickshire County Council provide the NEF (universal or extended) and2 year old funding payments. The cost of this is paid by WCC directly to preschool.

Safeguarding is a top priority at our pre-school, led by our Designated Safeguarding Lead, Heather, supported by Hazel and Keri. Together, they ensure all policies and procedures are followed, staff are fully trained, and concerns are acted upon promptly. We work closely with families and external agencies when needed and follow recognised programmes such as NSPCC PANTS to help children understand staying safe. All staff and volunteers are DBS checked to ensure a safe and secure environment for every child.

Anne Marie Holmes is our Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENco) and is supported by Chazz.
We, at Coten End Pre-school, feel that this is such an important post, that Anne Marie does not have a group of key children. She is employed specifically to work with those children needing a little extra help.

Play is at the heart of everything we do and underpins all areas of learning and development within the EYFS. Through play, children develop language, creativity, confidence, and social skills in a natural and enjoyable way. Our environments, both indoors and outdoors, encourage exploration, imagination, and problem-solving. Adults support play by providing time, space, and inspiring resources, observing carefully and joining in when appropriate. This approach creates a safe yet challenging environment where children can thrive.
Every day is shaped by the children, their interests, and the world around them. While timings guide us, curiosity, creativity, and exploration lead the way.
